Kick Off Summer With These Entertaining Essentials!

Ready…deep breath…aaaaah!

Today marks the unofficial start to summer! This weather brings out the best of me, and I’m sure I’m not alone, for that matter. The gardens are blooming, the furniture is on the patio (with fabulous new cushions, woo hoo!), and the excitement of our annual ‘musicfest’ at our home is brewing. Music runs through the Gilbert veins, and nothing is better than getting together with dear friends for a night of guitar playing, foot stomping, and singing.

With that being said, I’ve been picking out some of the most perfect items here at Bucks Country Gardens for our festival to be a sure success. I’ve been eyeing a new line of acrylic and melamine dishware from Merritt USA. The designs are attractive and fun, yet subtle and bold. The acrylic pieces are highly resistant to color fading or staining due to the elements. They‘re highly durable, yet Merritt USA suggests that they should be hand washed. On the other hand, the melamine pieces are heat resistant and dishwasher safe. The quality put into each piece adds a sense of warmth to any affair. Although extremely attractive and durable, they are not recommended for the microwave.

I’m really digging the new wine glasses and tumblers that we offer here. The Tristan Collection is absolutely amazing. These beauties are also dishwasher safe, shatterproof, and BPA free. And for that clumsy friend – No worries, if it drops, it’ll bounce and not break!

Getting into the food aspect of our annual party. I highly recommend checking out our new arrivals of Stonewall Kitchen products. We’ve brought in a scrumptious line of aiolis, sauces, and dressings – tastes to satisfy everyone’s pallet. Bourbon Molasses BBQ Sauce, Maple Chipotle Grilling Sauce, and Horseradish Aioli are a few of the mouth-watering goodies; but the Sour Cherry and Hot Pepper Peach Jams are outta this world. Mmmmmm!

Well, eventually the sun goes down, but the festival continues! My friends and I send sky lanterns into the air, while lighting up some torches and lanterns that I bought at Bucks Country Gardens to make the night young. Be sure to stop by to see our line of glazed and colorful torches by North Coast Pottery, and an array of flameless candles and lanterns. I imagine each of us all have an amazing group of friends who we call family. After all, it’s the simple pleasures of life is what it’s all about, right?
